Tanner grew up in Noble County, Indiana and graduated from Central Noble High School. In law school at Michigan State University College of Law, he completed the rigorous Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute, where he found his passion for civil litigation. Tanner is excited to join Patterson Law and grow his litigation knowledge and practice. His practice areas include: family law, general civil litigation, personal injury, criminal defense, collections, real estate litigation, business litigation and contracts.
Tanner began his career working as an Attorney for Michiana Land Services in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he exclusively represented American Electric Power (AEP) in real estate and property law matters. In 2015, he accepted a position with AEP where he spent the last 5 years working in Transmission Right of Way and Regulatory Services. At AEP, his responsibilities were complex and required extensive knowledge of many areas of the law, including: civil, real estate, zoning, property, easements, business, employment, contracts, and administrative law.
Tanner is married and has 3 young children. He and his family attend Pathway Community Church where they are active members. In his time, he enjoys golf, hiking, and working on projects at his home.
